Advanced Metallurgy for Extreme Wear Conditions

Modern polymers contain abrasive fillers (glass fibers, calcium carbonate, and flame retardants) that rapidly degrade conventional steel blades. At Shen Gong, we leverage powder metallurgy to synthesize ultra-fine and nano-grained tungsten carbide (WC) combined with cobalt (Co) or nickel (Ni) binders. Our proprietary sintering processes minimize porosity and grain growth, resulting in cutting tools that maintain an optimized combination of high fracture toughness (K1c) and extreme hardness (HV10).

In addition to WC-Co formulations, our cermet (Titanium Carbonitride based) technology provides a highly stable cutting edge for operations where adhesive wear and chemical reactions are common.
